Oldage

The last years of his life Mihajlo spent at his land in Norfolk, which he used to call his american Idvor.

After the death of his wife Sarah Katherine, Pupin found a comfort in his only daughter Varvara whom he used to call Vava.

At the photograph from the 20's we can see Pupin with her daughter and his son-in-law Smith.

Pupin and his family

The land in Norfolk

On his land, 200 km away from New York, Pupin used to have many great people, as were the Serbian people who lived in America and his colleagues scientists and inventors.
Doctor Mihajlo Idvorski Pupin died on March 12th 1935, when he was 81 years old. He was burried at the Voodlown cementary in Bronx, the north part of New York. Both Yugoslavian and American delegation were on his funeral.

The last journey

The byst

Memory of pupin makes his work, which he selflessly gave to the humanity, alive.
"It was a great honour to be one of his students. He was the inspiration for all who worked with him", said Armstrong, Pupin's student.

The Mihajlo Pupin's born house is completly reconstructed and conservated for the anniversary. [further]
